What a registered agent actually is.
Every Tennessee business has to name one. It's simply who the state and the courts send legal documents to, so there's always a known place to reach your company.
It has to be a physical Tennessee street address, staffed during business hours. Not a PO box, not a mailbox store. Somebody has to actually be there when a process server walks in.
That's the whole job. Do it well and you never think about it. Miss a delivery and you can find out about a lawsuit after the deadline has already passed.

Annual report filing is not included. We'll remind you every year. If you want us to file it, that's a separate fee and we'll never file it without your written approval.

What this is not.
We're your registered agent, not your mailroom. This service covers legal documents and official government mail addressed to your business. We're not a mail forwarding service or a virtual office, and we don't accept your everyday business mail, packages, or personal mail. Your business should have its own mailing address for that. If something outside that scope shows up here, we'll forward it unopened or send it back, and let you know so you can update the sender.
Getting your IRS mail isn't the same as being able to act on it. If you want us handling IRS notices, that takes a separate authorization form and we'll walk you through it.

Registered agent service is $149 for the first year and $199 per year after. We serve Tennessee entities only. State filing fees are charged at cost, including the $20 change of registered agent filing when it applies.

Why not a national provider?
Honestly, they're fine at forwarding mail. If all you need is an address and a login, they'll do that for less than we charge and we won't pretend otherwise.
But when a notice lands, they can't tell you what it means. They can't file your return. They don't know your entity, your members, or your fiscal year. You get a PDF in a portal and a support queue.
Here, the same firm that receives the notice already has your books and your filings open. That's the difference you're paying for.

The registered office is open and staffed for service of process and state correspondence during these posted hours. No appointment is needed and none can be made. A process server or courier can simply walk in.
Client appointments are a separate thing entirely. Those are Tue–Fri 10:30a–6p, by appointment, and they're scheduled in advance.
